Individual Executive Mentoring

Individual Mentoring

One-to-one mentoring focused on a leader's own challenges, decisions and development.

Individual mentoring creates a confidential space to step back from the demands of leadership, think more clearly and explore situations that may be difficult to discuss elsewhere.

It can be a standalone mentoring relationship or follow a team mentoring programme when a leader wants to continue developing in a more personal and focused way.

FOCUSED ON YOU

Individual mentoring is built around the situations that matter to you.

This may include a new leadership role, increased responsibility, a difficult decision, changing relationships, organisational change, uncertainty or a question about where you want to go next.

There is no standard agenda. The focus develops around what you are facing and what you want to achieve.

FROM PERSPECTIVE TO ACTION

Mentoring gives you the opportunity to step back from the immediate situation and look at it from different perspectives.

Together, we explore what is happening, what may be influencing it, what you may not be seeing yet and what options are available to you.

The aim is not to tell you what to do. It is to help you develop the clarity, confidence and judgement to make your own decisions and act on them.

CONTINUING AFTER TEAM MENTORING

For leaders who have completed a team mentoring programme, individual mentoring provides a different environment for continued development.

The shared foundation created through team mentoring remains valuable, while individual sessions allow us to focus on the specific challenges each leader encounters in their role.

This may include situations that emerge only after returning to the workplace, when the leader has to apply what they have learned in a different context.

The group provides the foundation. Individual mentoring creates the space to work on what happens next.

HOW IT WORKS

Individual mentoring can begin with a specific challenge or with a broader question about leadership and development.

The frequency and duration are agreed according to the situation and reviewed as the mentoring develops.

Some leaders need support during a particular transition or period of change. Others benefit from a longer mentoring relationship as their responsibilities continue to evolve.

The aim is always the same: to help you become more confident, capable and independent in your own leadership.
